A Deep Dive into the World of Willow Basketry

Immerse yourself in the traditional art of willow basketry! Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to weave your very own willow baskets using our homegrown willow. Arrive to set up camp May 7th and evening potluck. May 8th-11th will be weaving days. Sunday the 11th is a half day.

Workshop Details:

• Instructor: Zac Fittipaldi, with nearly two decades of experience, has guided students to create hundreds of beautiful baskets. Check out his Instagram here.

• Location: Tamarack Lake Sandstone, MN

  plenty of opportunities for swimming and fishing.

• Accommodation: Tent camping on-site. For added convenience, you can rent a ready-to-go tent from us.

Schedule:

• First Night: Our weekend kicks off with a potluck dinner, bonfire, and getting the lay of the land.

• Learning and Weaving: Spend the following days weaving one or more baskets, honing your skills alongside fellow weavers. Zac will dedicate his time to each student as they get through the various stages of their baskets.

Pricing:

• Course Fee: $450, which includes camping accommodations.

• Meal Plan Option: For an additional $120, enjoy two homemade meals each day plus breakfast the last day morning. These meals will have a mainly wild harvested and local focus.

• A total of 7 meal, snacks, coffee, and tea and sweets.
